Annual Giving & Pledge Drive

What is Annual Giving?

Our Annual Pledge Drive is the largest and most important part of our fundraising efforts. Your Pledge gift helps provide Community Magnet Charter with the resources and tools to give each student a meaningful, rigorous, and well-rounded education.

Last year we raised 100% of our pledge goal! Together we will meet our 2023-2024 pledge goal and aim to have 100% CMCS PARTICIPATION!

The suggested Pledge contribution is $1,000 per STUDENT, but we recognize that every family’s circumstances are different. Please make a gift to Pledge that is personally meaningful, and when making your contribution we ask you to consider the value of the enrichment programs and classroom support Community Magnet Charter School offers:

  • P.E., Technology, Art, Dance, Improv/Drama, and Chess Instruction

  • Multicultural Assemblies

  • Field Trips

  • and more!

These are the “extras” that help make Community Magnet Charter School the incredible place it is and are some of the reasons you chose this school for your child. All of this is made possible by your contributions!

During the 2023-24 School Year we need to raise nearly $330,000 to support CMCS. Our Pledge Drive raises nearly 2/3 of the funds we need to support CMCS and this effort is the foundation of our fundraising. Other fundraisers in the year such as, Parade of Masks, Read-a-Thon, Sweethearts Dance, and Pump It Up, help us reach our total fundraising goal, so your support throughout the year is essential!

  2. Credit/Debit Card Fees (4%)

Families who wish to avoid paying these fees, may make donations via check to CSPA, Inc. as explained above.

What Does Pledge Support?

CFF is committed to providing a rich curriculum to each and every child at Community Magnet Charter School. These are some of the things that CMCS so special, and they made possible only by your contributions:

Sadly, California ranks 27th out of 50 states in per pupil spending, from https://www.teaching-certification.com/teaching/education-spending-by-state.html  Which is pretty strange considering California is the 5th biggest economy in the world, from Bloomberg.  Learn more about how are California schools are funded here.

CFF is dedicated to ensuring that despite budget shortfalls, our students and teachers have what they need to succeed! CFF helps to fund, among other things, visual art instruction, PE, improvisational drama instruction, dance, and modern technology and other school support. Providing these enriching experiences comes at a cost that is significantly more than what the District gives to public elementary schools.  Your donations can make a difference!

YES! Our Family will give to Community Family and Friends.
